How SCORMBox works

Upload a course, share its learner link, and track progress. Or add the same player to your own website with the SDK and server API.

Upload, test, share, and track

  1. Add your course

Choose Upload file, AICC URL, or LTI tool on the home page. Upload a SCORM, AICC, xAPI, or cmi5 ZIP, an H5P file, a PDF, or an MP4/WebM video. SCORMBox prepares the files online and shows the upload and preparation progress. Upload up to 100 MB, or confirm your email for packages up to 500 MB. AICC URLs stay with their provider. For LTI, sign in with your owner email and choose a connected tool or connect a new one.

  2. Preview the course

Open the preview from the management page to check playback and navigation. Previewing does not create learner results. Save your private management link, or email it to yourself and confirm your email.

  3. Send the learner link

Share the separate learner link with your team. They enter their name and email to start. Optionally require a code or email link to confirm their inbox before playing. Their sign-in stays limited to that course. You can also create a personalized link with those details filled in. Returning with the same email resumes saved progress when the course supports it.

  4. View the results

Your management page shows completion, pass or fail, scores, time spent, and recent activity. Download a CSV when you need to work with the results elsewhere. The values reflect what the course reports.

Share the learner link and keep the management link private. Anyone with the management link can manage the course and see learner results.

Building an LMS?

Play SCORM, AICC, LTI, H5P, xAPI and cmi5 courses through one integration, instead of implementing each standard yourself. Upload or connect a course, choose a learner, and open the player in your own app.

Get completion, pass/fail, scores and progress in a consistent format through JavaScript events or the HTTP API. Available values depend on what the course reports.

eLearning standards shouldn’t be this difficult. You build the LMS. We handle course playback and reporting.

Integrate with your website or LMS

JavaScript player SDK

Register your website, include one script, and launch a course in an iframe, popup, or new window. Receive the saved state when it loads and listen for progress and result events. Choose to resume an attempt, start a new one, or reset a selected attempt.

Share videos and PDFs, or use another LMS

Upload a video or PDF as its own course. Track viewing time and completion, resume progress, and see time per PDF page. You can add optional minimum viewing times for the whole document and each page. Viewing time measures visible use, not attention.

Download a standalone SCORM version of a video or PDF, including its viewer and completion rules. For any supported course, a connected SCORM download can play hosted content and report results to another LMS. Connected downloads require the course and any external provider to remain available. Original SCORM packages can also be downloaded unchanged. Read about SCORM downloads.

Supported course formats

SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, AICC, LTI 1.1/1.3, H5P, xAPI/TinCan, cmi5, MP4/WebM video, and PDF. Use the FAQ to check package requirements, saved progress, and reporting behavior.
